Inviting Applications for the Post of Research Assistant (RA1), Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Project Associate (PA), Research Associate/Post Doctoral Fellow (RA/PDF), Sr. Project Engineer (SPE), Research Associate/Junior Research Fellow (RA/JRF), Junior Research Assistant (RA2) are available in the following projects.

Chemical Engineering:

P(01-1):Lactic Acid and Lactic Acid Based Polymer - - Production: Phase II 
RA1: (2 Post) Eligibility : B.Tech(or equivalent) in Chemical Enginering or Polymer OR M.Tech(or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or Polymer OR M.Sc in Chemistry
Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.12000/- p.m.
Job Profile : Synthesis, Processing (Fiber Extrusion, Solid State Polymerization) and Characterization (Thermal, XRay, GPC, etc.), of Poly(lactic Acid), a biodegradable polymer and its Nanocomposites. 

Chemistry:

P(01-2):Development of Fluorescent Sensors and their High-throughput Imaging 
JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : B.Sc in Chemistry from a recognized university with minimum of 60% marks, M.Sc Organic Chemistry from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks, and at least 6 months research experience in organic synthesis. Candidates having experience in the synthesis, purification and characterization of organic dyes will be preferred.
Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.12000/- p.m. + HRA
Job Profile : Research Project Assistant involved in interdisciplinary work liaison with organic and experimental physical chemistry
 
Civil Engineering:

P(01-3): Integrated Design of Strom Water Drainage and Drinking Water System 
PA: (1 Post) Eligibility : First class Degree in B.E or B.Tech Civil Engineering. GATE score is preferable. Candidate will be encouraged to do M.Tech. in water resources engineering
Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.10000/- p.m.
Job Profile : Data collection, data analysis, developing code for pipe network, sewerage netwrok. Working knowledge in GIS software is required. Preparation of reports, writing journal and conference papers. 

P(01-4): Risk of Cracking of Clay Liners for Landfill Capping funded by IFCPAR 
RA/PDF: (1 Post) Eligibility : Applicants should have a Doctorate in Civil Engineering preferably with Soil Mechanics/Geotechnical Engineering as a Specialization; The applicant should also have 3-4 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and 2-3 in international conferences. Exposure to research in soil reinforcement technique, experimentation, modeling techniques and instrumentation in geotechnical engineering is preferable. Salary : Consolidated Salary 1850 Euros p.m.
Job Profile : The job involves laboratory testing, organization of research results and validation of laboratory and centrifuge tests by numerical modeling. Strong written and oral communication skills will be essential. Applicant is expected to work in France and co-ordinate with research team at IIT Bombay.

Electrical Engineering:

P(01-5):Calculation of Transmission Loss based on Power Tracing 
SPE: (1 Post) Eligibility : M.Tech in Power Systems with at least two years of experience
Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.40000/- p.m. + HRA
Job Profile : The project is on loss allocation in Indian Power Grid. The tracing has to be applied to all five regions after their modeling is done. The candidate should know RLDC network modeling, loss allocation methods, power tracing. The candidates should have software skills. 

Physics:

P(01-6): Theoretical studies of electronic structure n optical properties of polymers 
RA/JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : 1.For the RA position, a Ph.D in theoretical condensed matter physics or a related field(such as quantum chemistry, computational material science). Experience and/or inclination towards code development in Fortran 90 is absolutely essential. 2.For the JRF position, an M.Sc. in Physics(or an equivalent degree) with first class. Good knowledge of quantum mechanics, and familiarity with computer programming(preferably in Fortran) required. All the candidates called for the interview will be paid second class return train fare.(Only for this particular job code)
Salary : Consolidated salary for RA Rs.16000-18000/ for JRF Rs.12000/- p.m.
Job Profile : The work in the project will involve developing computer programs as well performing calculations related to the electronic structure and optical properties of polymers. 

SJM School of Management:

P(01-7):Multi-response Quality Characteristics Optimization 
RA2: (1 Post) Eligibility : Minimum qualification is M.Tech in Industrial Engineering/M.Tech in Quality,Reliability and OR/ MS degree in statistics, from reputed academic institution. The candidate with few months of working experience in industry is desired after Masters degree. 
Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.16000/- p.m.
Job Profile : Will be working in the area of Multiple quality characteristic optimization using Desirability Indices and metaheuristics and access the optimal solution quality for Single and Multi-stage Manufacturing situation.
